Support terms
Updated September 30, 2026
Draft. A lawyer has not reviewed this document yet, so the wording may change.
How supporting the development of The Priest: Echoes of the Path through Ko-fi works, what it gives and what it does not.
What support is
Support is a voluntary contribution to the development of the game. There are two ways:
- a monthly subscription for an amount you choose;
- a one-off contribution.
The game is in development; the release date has not been set.
Rewards
Rewards depend on your total support over time: one-off and monthly contributions add up.
Supporters get early access to the game.
We’ll send the keys when the game is ready for release. The release itself is not guaranteed — see the next section.
We’ll announce the rewards and their thresholds later and update these terms at the same time.
All rewards are digital. We count your total by the email you paid with on Ko-fi and send rewards to that email when they are ready. If you pay from different emails, write to us at ateretgamesofficial@gmail.com. We will combine the totals once we have made sure both emails belong to you.
If the game is not released
The game is in development, and we cannot guarantee that it will be finished and released.
A contribution is voluntary support for the development, not a pre-order of the game. Contributions are not refunded, including if the game is never released. If development stops, we will announce it on this site.
Before you go to Ko-fi, the site asks you to tick a box confirming that you understand this. These terms also apply to contributions made directly on the Ko-fi page.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived by contract.
What support does not give
Support is a thank-you to the team, not an investment. It does not give:
- a share in the studio or in the game;
- co-ownership;
- income, interest or any claim to profits;
- a vote in how the studio is run.
Support is not a loan or a purchase of securities.
Payments
Payments are handled by Ko-fi together with its payment partners — we never see your card details. Ko-fi’s terms also apply to your payment.
You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time in your Ko-fi account. Contributions already made stay in your total.
We will add the details of who receives the funds here once they are finalised.
How we handle payment data is described in our privacy policy.
Refunds
Contributions are not refunded — see If the game is not released.
The exception is a payment made by mistake, such as a wrong amount or an accidental repeat. Write to us at ateretgamesofficial@gmail.com — we will look at each such case individually.
If something changes
The game is in development, so its content may change. If these terms change, we will update them here and change the date at the top of the page.
